Stewart Jacobson, DVM, DACVP joins Frontage as Vice President, Pathology Services
Stewart is an accomplished executive, with over twenty years of experience in scientific program management, toxicology and toxicologic pathology, strategic planning, and business development in preclinical contract research. Prior to joining Frontage, Stewart was a site and divisional leader at Inotiv with responsibilities spanning multiple laboratory sites focused on pathology, DMPK (drug metabolism/pharmacokinetics), molecular and cell biology, flow cytometry, and small and large animal vivarium operations.
Prior to Inotiv he led the operations of the anatomic and clinical pathology sections at Battelle Memorial Institute and held executive leadership positions at SNBL USA, CVPath Institute, and Pathology Associates, within Charles River Laboratories. Stewart began his pathology career at Covance Laboratories in Vienna VA as a Staff Pathologist specializing in primate pathology. Prior to his career in pathology and drug development, Stewart was a computer scientist in the aerospace and software development industries.
Throughout his career, Stewart’s focus has been on delivering outstanding service to clients. His approach centers on building and leading talented teams with a core mission to exceed client expectations. His experience streamlining processes and developing enterprise-wide infrastructure to manage teams and projects has been instrumental in supporting business growth while enhancing the client journey.
Stewart received a Bachelor of Science in Engineering/Computer Science from the University of Illinois. He studied veterinary medicine at Tufts University, where he received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, then completed a Residency in Veterinary Anatomic Pathology from the University of Connecticut. Stewart is a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Pathologists.
