Frontage welcomes Dr. Yaodong Huang, PhD as Senior Vice President, ACME
Dr. Yaodong Huang, PhD joins ACME Bioscience, a Frontage Laboratories Inc company with over 15 years of experience in medicinal chemistry and organic synthesis. He had previously worked for ACME and was based in Shanghai China for about 7 years. It is a pleasure to welcome him back to the Frontage family. Yaodong reports to Dr. Wentao Zhang, EVP and Global Head of Discovery Services business.
As a seasoned professional, Yaodong brings a wealth of expertise in pharmaceutical research and development. During his career, Yaodong has held key leadership roles and has immensely contributed to various facets of organic chemical research which has helped his previous organizations achieve critical milestones. Most recently, as the Executive VP of Chemistry at Ocgene Biotech in Hefei, China he has established up a cutting-edge R&D center and oversaw a team of over 350 professionals tasked with building Block Production, Quality Control and other capabilities that have contributed to significant business growth.
Previously, he has held leadership roles with Med Chem Inc in SuZhou, China where he led a cross functional team of over 250. Prior to that, as Senior Director of Chemistry at ACME Bioscience, Yaodong has successfully led a team of over 100 chemists, managed the analytical team, and has ensured stringent quality control measures.
Yaodong received a MS degree in organic Chemistry from Fudan University in Shanghai China and a PhD in Organic Chemistry from the University of California, Santa Barbara, USA.
