Scientist-STE Assay Development
This laboratory-based position is in the Soluble Target Engagement (sTE) Assay Development group within the Bioanalytical Sciences department. Develop assays to quantify biopharmaceutical drug targets in various sample matrices from non-clinical and clinical studies; Perform and interpret complex in vitro, ex vivo and in vivo experiments with some independence; Analyze and present data in professional format; Demonstrate clear and professional verbal and written communication; Conduct, analysis and reporting of data in accordance with requirements set forth by the department; Ensure maintenance of detailed documentation of assay development and qualification; Record experimental data and accurate and highly organized laboratory notebooks; Follow appropriate SOPs and all internal documentation requirements.
M.S. (Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry or a related scientific discipline) with 1-2 years of experience, or a B.S./B.A. with at least 3 years of experience in a laboratory setting, preferably working with therapeutic proteins and developing assays on ELISA, MSD, and/or similar assay platforms, is required. Previous experience developing “free” and “total” assays and protein purification techniques (protein A/G, immunoaffinity, etc.) is highly desired. Previous experience with Watson LIMS and electronic lab notebooks is preferred. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with people, internally and externally is required. Detail-oriented, with excellent organizational and record-keeping skills is required. Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.
