GLP Toxicology Studies
Toxicology is the study of the relationship between dose and its effects on the exposed organism. The chief criterion regarding the toxicity of a chemical is the dose, that is the amount of exposure to the substance. Data collected in toxicology studies allows researchers to estimate a safe starting dose of the drug for clinical trials in humans.
Frontage conducts investigative toxicology studies to help understand the underlying mechanism of safety signal(s) and to determine if and to what degree toxicology is dose-dependent, species-specific or mechanism-related and to determine the maximum tolerated dose (MTD).
