Current Studies
Since 1994, healthy adults and special patient populations have come to our US clinic to participate in overnight and outpatient clinical research (Phase I) studies to test new drugs for safety, tolerability and in some cases, effectiveness, as part of the drug approval process as required by the Food & Drug Administration (FDA). Accordingly, each study is carefully executed and monitored by a team of qualified professionals. The studies explore how the medicine acts in the bodies of healthy volunteers, for example, how the compound is absorbed, distributed, metabolized and excreted. These studies may not test to see if the medicine works.
Who can volunteer for a clinical trial? Our healthy volunteer (Phase I) clinic in Hackensack, NJ, recruits and provides financial compensation to study volunteers who participate in clinical research trials. If you are generally healthy and age 18 or older, you may qualify to participate in a study.
Frontage values all who are interested in participating in a study. In order to participate, you may be required to go through a series of basic screening procedures to evaluate if you meet the individual study requirements. If you qualify based on the results of these screening procedures, you may be included and compensated for the time that you spend in a study. You are not eligible for most clinical studies if:
- You use tobacco products, illegal drugs or drink heavily
- You are on regular medication; a study physician must approve the medication for you to be eligible to participate in a particular study
- You are trying to become pregnant, are pregnant, have recently given birth or are breast-feeding
Below are listed some specific studies that we are currently recruiting. Please feel free to contact our recruiting staff to see how you can be involved in any of our future studies.
