Frontage Laboratories Awarded GROW New Jersey Grant for Clinical Operations Expansion

Exton, P.A. – September 9, 2014 – Frontage Labs has received a grant award of $2.44m from the New Jersey Economic Development Authority.  As part of Grow New Jersey Assistance Program, the incentive grant will be used for construction and capital investments involving a 36,000 square foot facility in Secaucus, NJ; to support Phase I-III clinical research.

The new facility, scheduled to open  in early 2015 will complement the company’s existing clinical research center in nearby Hackensack, NJ. Planned enhancements include the ability to conduct a wider range of clinical studies, as well as multiple, concurrent studies. Frontage expects to create approximately 50 new jobs in the years following the facility’s opening.

“New Jersey has been an ideal location for our clinical research unit, which consequently prompted our decision to expand operations in nearby Secaucus,” said Carlos Orantes, Chief Operating Officer of Frontage Labs. “Our planned location offers access to a diverse range of healthy and patient populations as well as medical expertise and good public transportation. With expanded capabilities from these two facilities, more than 50,000 square feet of combined clinic space and robust pipeline activity from biotechnology, pharmaceutical and generic pharmaceutical organizations, we will be better able to provide comprehensive solutions for growing complexity and volume in clinical research.”

Frontage’s clinical research services include the design and conduct of studies in healthy participants and various patient populations, supported by biometric services, spanning biostatistics, data management and medical writing.
